Plant blooms during the summer with two flowers. The sizes of the flowers vary.

Distribution[]

Cypripedium cordigerum is found in Northern Pakistan, Northern India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Xizang, China at elevations of 2100 to 4000 meters. Plants are found in wet shady fir forest.

Culture[]

pH should be kept around 7. The plants are commonly grown in a loam based mixture. This species has difficult establishing when transplanted. Plant is dormant in the winter.
