Cymbidium roseum is a species of Cymbidium found in Asia.

Description[]

Plant blooms in fall with two to five flowers that are up to 6 cm wide.

It was described in 1905 by J.J Smith from plants collected in Java.[1] The plant vegetatively resembles Cymbidium eburneum.[1]

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing on rock faces, trees, or on the ground in the Malayasian peninsula, Java and Sumatra at elevations around 1450 to 2400 meters[1]

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in warm to cool areas with medium light. Pot with bark and perlite. Plant prefers dry periods between watering. Reduce watering during the winter. Water about once a week. Plant can also be mounted.
