Plant is found growing on trees and on the forest floor of Borneo at elevations of 10 to 700 meters

Plants are usually grown in baskets. Plant grows from cool to intermediate temperatures in partial shade. Water regularly in the summer and gradually reduce in the winter. Pot in medium fir bark.
