Description[]

Plants bloom in the winter with a single 8 cm wide flower. Flowers are slightly fragrant.

Distribution[]

Plants are found in the wet montane forest of Colombia and Ecuador at elevations around 1400 to 1500 meters

Culture[]

Keep plant at intermediate to warm temperatures with high humidity. Keep plant in moderate lighting. Potting media should not be allowed to dry out. Keep moist but not soggy. Water about every five to seven days. Plants should be potted in a well drain mix with medium fir bark with some perlite. Plant is best grown in a basket Potting media should never be allowed to dry out.
