Bulbophyllum vinaceum

Bulbophyllum vinaceum is a species of Bulbophyllum found in Asia.

Description

Plants bloom in the summer with a single 2 cm flower. Flowers are pollinated by wasp.

Distribution

The plant is an endemic to Sabah, Borneo and grows in the lower montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters.

Culture

Keep plant in warm temperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
