Plant blooms in the fall with one to seven 6 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.


Plant is found growing in the evergreen forest of Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, Gabon, Zaire and Uganda at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters


Grow in intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in medium fir bark and keep in partial shade. Water about once a week. Keep plant fairly moist but not wet.
