Eriochilus, abbreviated as Erio. in horticultural trade, are a small family of mostly blue orchids from Australia.


Plants in this genus are distributed in south-west Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, and Tasmania.


Plants are pollinated by small bees as the press and probe the lallebellum.



The genus is named after its woolly lip
