Epidendrum parkinsonianum is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Epidendrum.

DescriptionEdit

Plant blooms at various times of the year with one to three flowers. Flowers are 15 cm wide and have a scent of citrus.

DistributionEdit

Plant is found in oak and pine forest of Jalisco, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Vara Cruz, and Chiapas states of Mexico at elevations of 1000 to 2300 meters. It is also found in Guatemala, specifically Coban, Departamento Alta Vera Paz.

CultureEdit

Plants grow in cool from about 28°F to warm conditions of about 80°F and can be grown in medium size fir bark with perlite. Plant prefers drying periods between watering and bright light is recommended. Lengthen drying period a bit in the winter.
