Epidendrum criniferum is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Epidendrum.

DescriptionEdit

Plant blooms during the winter with three to seven 2 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.

DistributionEdit

Plant is found growing in the montane forest of Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 100 to 500 meters

CultureEdit

Plants grow in cool to warm conditions and can be grown in medium size fir bark with perlite. Plant prefers drying periods between watering and bright light.
