Eleorchis japonica is a terrestrial orchid from the genus Eleorchis.


The plant blooms in the summer with one to two flowers. Plants reproduce vegetatively through rhizomes.


Plant is found growing in sphagnum bogs with Carex and Pogonia species the Southern Kuril Islands, Russia and in Hokkaido and Honshu islands of Japan


Plants must be grown in cool conditions with moderately bright light. Pot in a well drain mix such as sphagnum moss or perlite. Plant should be watered regularly with distilled water. Do not fertilize plant.
