Disa woodii is a disa species found in Transvaal, South Africa. Plant grows in conditions of cool to intermediate.

Description[]

Single inflorescence that contain 80–100 yellow flowers about 1cm wide. Plant blooms in the fall and spring.

Distribution[]

Found along grasslands, swamps, and cliff sides from elevations of 0 to around 1500 meters in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cape Province, Natal and Transvaal South Africa. The plant usually colonizes disturbed areas with partial to full sun.

Plant is a cool grow but can not tolerate frost. Feed with diluted fertilizers. Increase watering rate in spring because of growth season also the old growth will die out. Reduce water when the plant turns yellow and keep the mix barely moist until new growth appears summer. When the growth matures water more often. The plant can tolerate full sunlight. Pot with half medium grade sand and half soil. When repotting do not remove all soil from tuber.
