Disa crassicornis is a deciduous plant from the genus Disa.


Plant can grow up to 60cm tall. Flowers are 6 cm wide and can be white, pink or purple. The plant is deciduous.


Found along grasslands and mountainous areas of South Africa at elevations of 1000 and 2700m.

Plant can be grown in a mixture of 70% medium grade perlite and 30% potting soil. Media must have a pH of 5 to 6 and have to be well drained. Water regularly and keep soil damp during growing season. The plants goes dormant during fall to spring and prefer dryer conditions, but not completely dry. Plant grows in cool conditions with bright light. Plant can tolerate freezing temperatures.
