Dendrobium porphyrochilum is a species of genus Dendrobium


Plant blooms in the winter with 1cm flowers.


Plant is found growing on trees in the Himalayas and Yunnan China at elevations of 1700 to 2300 meters.


Plants should be grown in moderate light with cool temperatures. Keep plant moist and fertilize during growth season. During winter reduce watering until new shoots appear. Grow in a well drain mix of sphagnum moss or medium fir bark.
