Dendrobium erosum is a species of genus Dendrobium


Plant blooms from fall to winter with five to ten 2.5 cm wide flowers.

The leaves of this species is made into a powdered and then mixed with coconut oil to be used as a perfume in western New Guinea.


Plant is found growing on trees in the mangrove forest of Southern Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Papua & New Guinea, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands at elevations of 0 to 2000 meters


Plant grows in cool to warm temperatures with medium amounts of light. Keep plant moist and fertilize during growth season. During winter reduce watering until new shoots appear. Grow in a well drain mix of sphagnum moss or medium fir bark.
