Dactylorhiza fuchsii is a species of Dactylorhiza found in Europe.
Description[]
Plant blooms from spring to summer with twenty to fifty 2 cm wide flowers.
The flower colour can vary from white to pale purple with purple spots. The lip has three lobes. Some colonies are highly perfumed, attractive to day-flying moths.
Distribution[]
Plants are found in ubiquitous from alkaline marshes to chalk downland of Iceland, Ireland, Great Britain, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain, France, Corsica, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Czechloslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Romania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Most Russia, Western Siberia and Mongolia.
Culture[]
Plants require partial shade and cool temperatures. Plant is easy to grow and can grow in mediums from garden soil to acidic peat. Water regularly.
