Cypripedium , is an orchid that is native to Mexico


The plant blooms from summer to fall with one yellow flower which is 12 cm wide.


Cypripedium irapeanum is found in Chipas, Durango, Guerrero, Nayarit, and Jalisco states of Mexico. Plants are found in pine forest and grassy areas with volcanic or clay soil, which is rich in metals.


Winter temperatures should never go below 50°F. Plant relies on symbiotic fungus for nutrients.
