Cymbidium defoliatum is a species of Cymbidium found in Asia.


Plant blooms in the summer with three to five 2 to 3 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.

Plant has two to four leaves which becomes deciduous in the winter.


Plants are found growing in open forest of Fujian, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Yunnan; China


Plant should be grown in warm areas with medium light. Pot with bark and perlite. Plant prefers dry periods between watering. Reduce watering during the winter. Water about once a week. Plant can also be mounted.
