Cymbidium aestivum in chinese, is a species of Cymbidium which blooms on a pendant inflorescence.


Plant has pendant inflorescence and blooms in the fall with ten to thirteen 4 to 6 cm wide flowers.


Plants are found on mossy rocks in the forest of Yunnan at elevations of 1500 to 1600 meters


Plant should be grown in cool to intermediate areas with medium to bright light. Plant may also be grown cool. Pot with bark and perlite. Plant prefers dry periods between watering. Reduce watering during the winter. Water about once a week.
