Cattleya maxima is a plant in the genus Cattleya.


Plant bloom in the fall to winter with three to fifteen 12.5 cm wide fragrant flowers.


Plant is found growing in the dry coastal forest of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and northern coastal Peru at elevations of 10 to 1500 meters


Plants should be grown in medium fir bark with partial to full sun. The plant is a intermediate to warm growing orchid species. Water approximately once a week. Plant can also be mounted.

C. maxima concolor Cattleya maxima var. concolor Pink petals and sepals pink, lip is pink with a yellow patch.
