Plant blooms in the summer with many 3 cm wide flowers.
Distribution[]
Plants are often found growing on boulders and trees in the transition zones between deciduous and dry forest of central Oaxaca state of Mexico at elevations of 1600 to 1700 meters
Culture[]
Plants are grown in warm to intermediate conditions in moderate sunlight. They are usually grown mounted on cork or bark with sphagnum moss. Plants should be watered regularly. Keep the plant in a media that can dry out pretty quickly. The plant can also take dryouts between waterings. Keep the plant in an area with good air circulation. Watering should be reduced during resting season from fall to winter.
