Amesiella is a genus of monopodial orchids consisting of around 3 species.


These mostly epiphytic orchids are distributed in I the Philippines.


The genus has a monopodial growth habit with fleshy leaves.


Plants are in small pots and usually require bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Plants should be grown in media that is well drained such as tree fern fibers, medium fir bark, or sphagnum moss. Water and fertilize regularly. Reduce watering during dormancy period in the winter Plants can also be mounted on cork.


The genus is named for Oakes Ames an American botanist in the 1900's
